Commuter/Apartment Plans

If you are interested in Commuter Meal Plan options, view and choose a plan from the Volunteer Meal Plans. Then enjoy using your Rambler Card to pay for all of your food needs!

This chart helps tell the differences of our various commuter and on-campus meal plan offerings. Sophomore students living in Dunlop or Printz apartment buildings are required to have a meal plan, but they can also select from the commuter options. Graduate students, juniors, and seniors, living in the apartments are not required to have meal plans.

Meal Transfers

During the “meal transfer times,” a meal can be applied as a specified dollar value to purchase food in our Riverside Market, Wellness and Student Center retail food locations. This year the meal transfer values are as follows: breakfast has a $5.15 value and lunch and dinner have a $6.50 value.

Dining dollars can be used at any time and a 5% discount is applied.

Traditional Plans

Residential or commuter, students on Shepherd’s campus have a great selection of dining locations to choose from, whether you’re eating in or grabbing-and-going. Why not make your dining experience faster and more convenient? Add a meal plan to your Rambler today!

For new, first time residential students, the two options are: the Deluxe Block 300 and the Basic 19. With more years of achievement, more options become available.

First Year Meal Plans

For new, first time residential students, the two options are: the Deluxe Block 300 and the Basic 19.
With more years of achievement, more options become available to you.

In order to decide the right plan for you, please consider the amount of structure or flexibility you prefer.

  • For example, the Deluxe Block 300 offers flexibility as multiple meal swipes can be used throughout the day, but you have to track the total number of meals used throughout the semester.
  • By contrast, the Basic 19 assures you that you will have meals throughout the semester, but there is less flexibility for the time periods when the meal plan can be used.
